I’ve been told by my collaborators that I have a natural way of creating intimacy not only in what I film, but how I film it. As humans, our strengths lie in compassion and empathy. I believe my journey has given me the ability to connect with people and find the common thread that unites us all. This is my approach on every project; be it commercial, documentary or narrative.
I spent 5 years as a Director + DP at John’s Hopkins Hospital, where I had the privilege of filming cancer patients, compelled to share their story in hopes of helping others. My years of listening and being there for people when they needed it most has left an impact on my life forever.
As a woman, I feel a powerful sense of responsibility through my artistic voice to raise awareness for women’s issues, or simply, human issues. I champion the idea of empowerment and autonomy over our bodies. Nothing makes me more proud than knowing strong women are taking a stand, echoing their voices, and fighting for what is deserved for the sake of their health and happiness. Their lives depend on it. It would be an honor to tell this story.
